COVID-19 UPDATE

Dear Bright Beginnings families, As you know,  Gov. Mike DeWine announced all schools in Ohio will be closed for three (3) weeks starting Monday, March 16th. This includes Bright Beginnings. Our preschool will be closed beginning Monday, March 16th through Monday, April 13th. This includes the three (3) weeks ordered from the State of Ohio, as well as our regularly scheduled Spring Break. Classes are scheduled to resume on Tuesday, April 14th. I am thankful that this is not a typical occurrence as it is very difficult to work through making decisions and thinking of the impact of those decisions on others.  As we try to figure out what all needs to be done we need to remember to be in constant prayer. After prayer and discussion with our church as well as preschool boards; our plan for the next few weeks is as follows:
  • Week 1: Our preschool has always followed the Springboro school system in regards to calamity closings and those days are factored into tuition.
  • Week 2: Classes will be made up as a one week, half day summer camp program credit
  • Week 3:  will be made up as a one- week extension in May.  Our last day of preschool will be May 29th.
  • Kindergarten Exploration may join us that week for the time they normally spend with us.  Parents will be responsible for transportation.
  • Graduation and Carnival will still be scheduled for the week of May 18th
  • Week 4: This is our already scheduled Spring Break.

April tuition will be due the first week we return to school.

Lunch Bunch information will be sent out shortly by Cindy.

We follow Springboro schools in that we are committed to protecting the health and safety of our community. The steps we are taking in response to COVID-19 are guided by the recommendations from the medical experts of the State of Ohio, the Ohio Department of Health, the Warren County Health District, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). These steps are in the best interest of the students, parents, and staff of Bright Beginnings, as well as our surrounding community. Our responsibility to the larger issue of public health require us to be proactive, rather than reactive, in making decisions that affect the well-being of our students, parents, staff, and surrounding community.  We are trying our best to be fair to our students as well as our staff during this time.  Information is changing constantly, if anything changes we will be in touch.

A.C.E. COVID-19 UPDATE

Dear ACE families, As you know, yesterday afternoon, Gov. Mike DeWine announced all schools in Ohio will be closed for three (3) weeks starting Monday, March 16th. This includes Bright Beginnings, but not ACE.   ACE will be open for those needing care.   I am thankful that this is not a typical occurrence as it is very difficult to work through making decisions and thinking of the impact of those decisions on others.  As we try to figure out what all needs to be done we need to remember to be in constant prayer.   After prayer and discussion with our church as well as preschool board; our plan for the next few weeks is as follows:
  • ACE will be OPEN for those needing care.
  • The days will be considered “Special Days” and you will need to register for them.
  • We will not be going on field trips during this time, but will have fun activities here at the church.   Parents will need to bring a packed lunch.

We follow Springboro schools in that we are committed to protecting the health and safety of our community. At this time, Child care programs are not closed down.   This could change and, if so, we will be in touch.

“But as for you, continue in what you have learned and firmly believed, knowing from whom you have learned it, and how from childhood you have known the sacred writings that are able to instruct you for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.”

2 Timothy 3:14-15

Our Church

Bright Beginnings Christian Preschool, A.C.E. and Creation Camps are special ministries of First United Methodist Church in Springboro.  Our programs share space with the church and we frequently partner in mission and other special activities.

First United Methodist offers worship services on:
  • Saturdays at 5:30 – casual worship
  • Sundays at 9:15 – traditional worship and Sunday school
  • Sundays at 10:35 – traditional worship and Children’s Church

There are many opportunities to get involved for everyone.  We offer youth groups for Kindergarten – 12th grades.  In addition, there are adult classes and bible studies, a strong music program, women and men’s groups and many other ways to connect to the church family and our community.  We invite you to learn more about our church by visiting our website: www.fumcofspringboro.org.
