November Update

November is another fun month at Bright Beginnings/ACE!   We have many activities tied to the season of giving.

The November Fruit of the Spirit is Goodness and the Bible verse is “O, give thanks to the lord” (Psalm 105:1).  During the month of November, Pastor Amy will review our Bible verse, talk about what it means to show “goodness”, and teach children about gratitude.  We will be singing fun songs including “Awesome God” and also collecting our change for the children in Africa.
  • Friday, November 22  – There is no school Friday, November 17 for Bright Beginnings due to set-up for the church’s bazaar which runs in conjunction with  Christmas in Springboro.  There will be ACE and Kindergarten Exploration.
  • Wednesday- Friday, November 27-29 – Bright Beginnings is closed for Thanksgiving break.  ACE is in operation on Wednesday, the 27th for registered students only.

November Special Events:

  • Wagon decorating for the “Christmas in Springboro” parade will be Sunday, November 17 from 1:00 to 4:00.
  • The Christmas in Springboro Parade will be November 23. More details on where to meet will be e-mailed soon.
  • We also invite our Bright Beginnings families to enjoy the Church Bazaar and Luncheon Café on Saturday, November 23. There will be all kinds of good food and crafts for sale.
  • To finish out Christmas in Springboro festivities at the church, First United Methodist Church will hold a special Christmas Carol Sing at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.  All are welcome.  There will be a free will offering that benefits SCAC.  Please join us as we use the carols we all love to help kick off the holiday season.
  • Friendship Feasts will be held on Thursday, November 21 for all W-F classes and on Tuesday, November 26 for all M/T classes, Stepping Stones and Kindergarten Exploration classes.  More details will be sent by teachers.  (Please note our Kids Morning Out classes do not participate in the feasts.)
  • Parent Connection will continue Table talk in December with the topic “Importance of family Traditions”. We will also continue working out in the sanctuary on Mondays and Wednesdays at 9:15.

As we move into this season of giving, there are several ways you can help the less fortunate this season (Please see Kim’s monthly e-mail under Parent Information for details):

  • Giving Tree
  • Stockings/ Stocking Stuffers for the UMCH (United Methodist Children’s Home) foster children.

Thanks so much for all of your support and help.  This season is full of hope, peace, love and joy!

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or
concerns. Please like our page on Facebook, and look out for our monthly newsletters. We want to establish open communication to assure we are all working together in the education of your children. Here’s to another great school year!

“But as for you, continue in what you have learned and firmly believed, knowing from whom you have learned it, and how from childhood you have known the sacred writings that are able to instruct you for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.”

2 Timothy 3:14-15

Our Church

Bright Beginnings Christian Preschool, A.C.E. and Creation Camps are special ministries of First United Methodist Church in Springboro.  Our programs share space with the church and we frequently partner in mission and other special activities.
First United Methodist offers worship services on:
  • Saturdays at 5:30 – casual worship
  • Sundays at 9:15 – traditional worship and Sunday school
  • Sundays at 10:35 – traditional worship and Children’s Church
There are many opportunities to get involved for everyone.  We offer youth groups for Kindergarten – 12th grades.  In addition, there are adult classes and bible studies, a strong music program, women and men’s groups and many other ways to connect to the church family and our community.  We invite you to learn more about our church by visiting our website: www.fumcofspringboro.org.
